Short answers to the things people ask us most.
Posting a property request
Instead of scrolling through listings, you describe the home you are looking for. On Post a Request you say whether you want to buy or rent, the property type, the state and area, your budget range, and how soon you need to move. Once the request is live, verified agents who cover that area can read it and reply with properties that actually fit. Posting a request is free.
Updating or closing your request
Everything you have posted is listed under My Requests. From there you can change a request’s status — marking it in progress while you are dealing with an agent, or completed once you have found a place — and you can delete a request you no longer want agents to see. Requests also expire on their own, so an old search stops attracting replies. If your requirements change substantially, close the old request and post a fresh one so agents are working from accurate details.
Who sees your request
A published request appears in the public request feed and to agents working in the states and areas you chose. Agents see what you are looking for and your budget range, not your email address or phone number. Each request carries an expiry date, and its status controls whether agents can still respond. My Requests shows how many responses each request has collected.
Responding to a request as an agent
Open a request from the request feed and use Respond to send the seeker a property you believe fits. A good response names a specific property with its asking price and the details that matter for that brief. The seeker sees your response next to the others and decides who to contact. You need an approved agent account to respond — see the verification process below.
Viewing agent responses
Open a request from My Requests to see every response it has received. Each one shows the agent, the property being proposed and the details they entered, so you can compare options side by side. Responses do not expose your contact details to anyone, and you are never obliged to reply to any of them.
Contacting an agent
When a response looks promising, use Contact Agent on it. Because you are signed in, we reveal that agent’s phone number, WhatsApp and email so you can reach out directly — call, open WhatsApp with a ready-made message, or copy the number. Nothing is sent on your behalf, so you decide what to tell the agent and when.
Appointments and viewings
Once you and an agent agree on a viewing, it is tracked as an appointment. My Appointments lists everything pending, confirmed or rescheduled, and a confirmed appointment can be added to your own calendar. If a time stops working, either side can propose a new one instead of losing the booking.
Is PropGo.my safe to use?
Only agents whose identity and licence documents have been checked by our team can respond to requests. Your email address and phone number are not attached to the request agents read. If a request or a response looks wrong, report it and our team will review it. Treat any demand for payment before you have even viewed a property as a warning sign, and tell us about it.
Are there any fees?
Posting requests, reading responses and contacting agents is free for property seekers. Agents pay for a subscription that lets them respond to requests. PropGo.my does not charge seekers a commission — any agency fee is still a matter between you and the agent you appoint.
How do I become an agent?
Start on the For Agents page to see what an agent account includes, then apply through the agent registration form. You will be asked for your agency details and your REN, REA, PEA or VEA registration, along with supporting documents. Every application is reviewed by our team before the account can respond to requests.
How does agent verification work?
Verification is the review every agent account goes through before it can respond to a request. We check the agency details, the registration number and the documents uploaded with the application. Accounts that pass are shown as verified across the site, which is why a response you receive comes from a real, licensed agent rather than an anonymous account.
The verification process, step by step
Submit the agent registration form with your agency details, licence type and number, and the supporting documents. The application then goes into review, and you can follow its progress on your application status page. We email you when a decision is made. Approved accounts get access to the request feed, the agent dashboard and the response tools.
Best practices for responses
Answer the brief that was actually posted: respect the budget range, the area and the property type instead of sending whatever is on your books. Give the real asking price and the details that decide whether a viewing is worth it, and be upfront about what does not match. Responding while the request is fresh helps, because seekers compare the responses they already have. A complete, honest response earns far more replies than a generic one.
Subscription plans and billing
An active subscription is what lets an agent account respond to requests. The subscription page shows the available plans and lets you start or change one, and your billing history is available from the agent dashboard. Payments are processed by Stripe, so PropGo.my never stores your card details.
Privacy and security
Your email address and phone number are never published on a request. You can review and update what we hold about you under Account settings, and choose which emails and notifications you receive under Notification preferences. Our Privacy Policy sets out what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
